The Caribbean is way more than just sand and blue water because it has so many rare animals hiding in the trees. Lots of these islands have special creatures that don’t live anywhere else on the whole planet. If you want to see things you can’t find at home you should check out these ten places. It is a great way to spend your next trip.

Barbados Green Monkey Troops

These monkeys are very cheeky and you might even see them running through the garden of your hotel if you are lucky. They were brought over from Africa centuries ago but now they have their own population that runs wild all over the island.

Dominica

Huge whales live in the waters around Dominica every single day without ever moving away. Most whales swim to new places but these ones stay right here. You can take a boat out to see them jumping and playing in the deep ocean.

Saint Lucia

St. Lucia is the only place to see this specific parrot. It has a bright blue face and colorful skin. They almost disappeared a while back but they are healthy now. You will hear them calling out while they fly through the tall green trees.
