Hidden Places On Cruise Ships Most Passengers Walk Right Past

Walking onto a giant ship feels like being in a busy city with too many crowds. Everyone stays near the loud music and the main lobby areas. You should try to find the small corners that most people ignore. These places are perfect for watching the ocean in peace. Getting away from the noise makes your whole trip feel way better and much more relaxed.

The Forward Secret Decks

Many ships have unmarked doors at the very front of the long cabin hallways that lead to a quiet outdoor area right over the bridge. It is a great place to watch the ship pull into a new port while avoiding the wind and crowds of the upper decks.

The Library Or Card Room

While everyone else is at the buffet or the casino these rooms are usually completely empty and offer a very peaceful atmosphere for reading. You can find some of the most comfortable chairs on the whole ship here and often there is a great view through large windows.

Lower Promenade Walking Tracks

Most ships have a secret path on a lower floor that goes all the way around the boat. It is much better than the crowded top deck. You can walk here in peace and quiet. It feels like an old movie because it is so calm.

The Spa Thermal Suite

Many people do not realize you can sometimes buy a day pass to the thermal area which has heated stone loungers and private saunas away from the main spa. It is one of the best ways to hide from the world for a few hours and most passengers never even ask about it.

Hidden Aft Balconies

Some huge ships have small decks hidden at the very back of the hallways. You just go past the elevators on certain levels to find them. They are perfect for watching the waves with a friend. It feels private but does not cost any money.

Upper Level Of The Theater

During the day when there are no shows the balcony level of the main theater is usually open and totally silent. It is a very cool place to sit in a plush seat and relax or even take a quick nap in the dark and cool air.

The Helipad Access

On some specific cruise lines you can actually walk all the way to the front of the ship to the helipad area for an amazing view. It feels like you are not supposed to be there because of all the equipment but it is often open for passengers to enjoy the sea breeze.

Bridge Viewing Windows

A few ships have a small glass window located in a side hallway where you can peek in and see the officers working on the bridge. Most people walk right past the small sign but it is fascinating to see how they actually steer the giant vessel.

The Specialty Cafe Alvoves

Most people crowd the main cafe but you can find tiny spots hidden nearby. Look behind the counter or around the corner for secret seats. These areas stay very quiet and peaceful. You can relax and drink your morning beverage away from the loud and busy crowds.

Solarium Back Corners

Most guests stay near the busy pool area and do not move. You should walk to the far corners of the deck instead. There are chairs tucked behind walls that offer a lot of privacy. It is a great place to relax without any loud noise
