I Tested How Helpful Strangers Really Are

Hey there! Recently I decided to see if the people we walk past every day are actually helpful. I did some tiny experiments on the sidewalk to find out the truth about kindness. It is so cool how a total stranger will sometimes go out of their way for you. Read more to see what happened when I tested how helpful strangers really are in our local community.

Dropping Everything Everywhere

I acted like I was super clumsy and dropped papers on a busy street. It was honestly wild how fast people stopped walking to help me grab them. Everyone was so kind and jumped right in to fix my big mess. I really loved that experience.

The Heaviest Bags Ever

I had so many bags and made them look really heavy. People saw me and just came to help out. They took half the load so I could reach my car easily. It felt good to see that there are still such nice folks around.

Being Completely Lost

I used a very confusing map and looked very puzzled while standing on a street corner. People would actually come up to me and ask if I needed help finding where I was going which was really helpful.

Dropping A Wallet Test

I walked ahead of someone and let my wallet drop out of my pocket without noticing. Almost every time the person behind me immediately shouted to get my attention and hand it back.

Needing A Phone Call

My battery was dead and I needed to call someone quick. I walked up to random people to ask for help. They all let me use their phones right there in public. People are much nicer than we usually think they are these days.

Taking A Group Photo

I saw some groups and asked a random bystander if they could take a picture of me. They not only said yes but they actually took multiple photos to make sure I got a really good one.

Struggling With A Jacket Zip

I was acting like my jacket zipper was totally stuck and I could not fix it myself. Someone actually stopped and helped me fiddle with the zipper for a few minutes until it was properly working again.

Holding The Door open

I wondered if people still hold doors for others. I watched busy spots to see what happens. Most people will hold the door if you are right behind them. They also help if your hands are full. It is a really good sign for us.
